Here's the deal... It has well been decided by many that lossless does not sound as good as flat PCM files. Anyone with a reasonable system has said so.
That being said... it has also been proven that the more power you computer has, i.e. more memory, SSD system drives, speed etc... will cut that difference down.
The weird thing is that both outputs are bit true and equal.
WHY? who knows throw this one in with why do USB cables sound different.
