Hi John, thanks for the intro to the touch.
Q1. Have you tried playing music using the SD card slot while the touch is not connected to the network. This would be an interesting comparison against the ethernet setup.
Q2. The touch supports 24/96 while the SB supports 24/48. If I'm not mistaken *one* of the reasons you like the Fit-PC setup is that USB audio spec 1.0 supports 24/96 while your custom SB3/DAC interface does not. Will you find it more interesting to slave the touch to your 1704 DAC (sending the clock back and resync'ing the i2s lines) now that the touch supports 24/96 or continue to work with a small linux box with usb interface?
