I had a LynxTwo and AES16. They're not bad cards and as I said they improved with the Magma box and battery. I used the LynxTwo as a sound card and then the AES16 with various DACs. I've also used an Offramp2 and PaceCar since then which were also a step up but asynchronous USB gives better performance still. There must be more to good digital performance than clean power and low RFI (though I'm sure they help!)
