If you are going to use cPlay as your player then go to the cPlay thread and you will see some recommendations.

If you are going to be doing 16/44.1 .wav playback then use 1x256Mb kingston valueram else if you are going to be doing >24/96 .flac playback then use 1x512Mb Hyperx (or similar). Note: this is for a true cMP2 (cMP+cPlay) machine. If you plan to use your PC for other purposes you may need more RAM.

Rule of thumb (for cMP2): 1 stick is best; minimum size is best; get best quality you can find.
