As they get older it becomes harder to find replacement drives that are on the compatibility list for that model.
None of the drives I've used since 2019 are on the compatibility list. Two flavors of Seagate 2TB 3.5" spinning rust and currently a pair of SanDisk 2.5" SSDs.
No one told them they won't work. :)
