The cable you linked to doesn't appear to actually 'break out' the USB 5V line like the ones posted by Roseval and nwis. This separating of the 5V Vcc line from the USB DAC cable was a hot top several years ago.Some DACs require a continuous 5V on the USB line, others require it only long enough to establish 'hand shake' over USB, and a few don't require 5V over USB at all. There's a simple way to test your DAC w/o cutting into your USB cable as some inmates have done. See my post from 2016 linked below.

Personally, I think these so-called USB "problems" are "brought to light" to help sell unnecessary aftermarket specialty USB cables and gadgets. Just my 2-cents worth but good luck.
