Windows 11 versus MacOSX versus Linux

So I tried Windows 11 and MacOSX to see what's better with Amazon music first. I prefer Windows 11 to MacOSX. Not only does it sound better, it is open to more fiddling with more programs than Apple as an added bonus.

The sound I believe in MacOSX is colored, the high frequencies are rolled off. This is true regardless of program, that's just the sound of the operating system.

As a comparison I then used Linux playing back Ultra HD FLAC and that doesn't sound too good compared to Windows 11. I don't know why this is, the system of Windows 11 sounds better. Linux seems to have a darkening of the sound, that is sought after by some I gather.

I think Microsoft if you haven't looked into them since Windows 11 belongs in your buckets of operating systems to take a look at in regards to sound playback.

I would rate in sound quality

1. Windows 11
2. Linux
3. MacOSX

Try all 3 and let it go at it. This is over USB audio.

I still have to try NetBSD and FreeBSD. That will be cool to see what I can hear. I know FreeBSD supports USB Audio, not sure about NetBSD or if there are differences in the kernels.
