Looks like the same chip technology in both. The more expensive 'Pro' has the option of powering with 5V separate from the Pi as well as I2S and AES3 while the 'LITE' appears smaller but with TOSLINK.

I have both the current $300 'Pro' with AES-3 and an older version that had every output imaginable but it requires a higher voltage power supply to make it go. I may end up replacing the older one with the 'LITE'.

Guessing they would both sound the same from the COAX S/PDIF output but that's just a guess.
