I gave my Audioengine HD3's to my daughter to use with her turntable. This left me with an excuse to try another desktop speaker.
I recently purchased the Tribit Maxsound Plus and so far I really like it. I mainly use it for background music at low volumes while I work. I prefer it over the Oontz Ultra and Audioengine 512 which I could not enjoy listening to for long periods of time.
