RE: PCP/LMS/SL RPi 4B and MQA

I don't run MQA, however...

afaik, to get MQA properly streamed, the streaming chain needs to be bit-transparent, like streaming DSD.

You need to make sure that your data won't get converted/touched.

1. select "native" in the file formatting section for your MQA streaming format (flac ??).


2. Now comes the issue with volume control. If your audio device offers onDAC volume control - you need to enable and configure that one - in your pCP/LMS/squeezelite setup. You need to refer squeezelite to your HW volume control.
Of course only if onDAC volume control exists and it'd support MQA.

If there's no onDAC volume control you'd have to lock volume at 100%
on LMS for your squeezelite player under player settings.



Let me know if that works. It's just a wild guess. I can't test it myself.
