is what a lot of the High End DAC folks are now doing.
Bricasti, dCS and even PSAudio have streamers/bridges built into their top-of-the-line DACs. A lot of other high-end DAC makers are doing the same thing. And it's not just for marketing reasons. It allows them to send data from the streamer/renderer section to the DAC using the best digital format which, I'm guessing, is NOT USB.
OK, not S/PDIF or AES3 either.
First they came for the dumb-asses
