Yes, I have searched for Firmware upgrades on the Router. Have Re-booted it.... And yes, I can log in and see the Wired TV Connection. And I just checked the TV for updates again, and there are none.
And of course I can connect to the router Wirelessly from the TV and have no problems. (Which may be the solution that I choose in the end).
And since this is an intermittent problem, it is going to be very hard to pin down. I can stream Netflix or Amazon just fine for an hour or so, and then I can lose internet connection.
