RE: Condensor Mic and Soundblaster Z


You may need a Mic Preamp, which would bring up the gain.

Most Mic-Pre's also include 48V Phantom power, so an all in one unit do it.

There is also usually a switch to match the output levels, because pro gear uses a higher level then home gear.

Some of them may also offer RCA outputs, but most will be XLR and 1/4" connectors.

Behringer probably makes a relatively inexpensive Mic Pre.
