RE: Need Help Understanding Tidal With Roon


I have to admit that my only MQA DAC was a low-end Meridian which to me didn't sound all that great no matter what I fed it.

Isn't the first MQA unfolding to 24/96 or 24/88.2 done in software like Roon? I believe this is the case so wouldn't it be possible to use something like a USB-to-SPDIF converter to capture the first MQA unfold out of the SPDIF connector? Then send it to a digital recorder? I'm thinking something like the Wyred4Sound uLink. There are several others too.
