the Raspberry Pi itself is a computer.
I like the idea of running LMS on the NAS drive, as it is on all of the time and it's managing the music on the drive.
Why not?
Right now I doing much the same thing, running LMS on a headless Mac Mini dedicated to music playback with a Thunderbolt HD hooked to it storing what few (very few) CD rips and downloads I have.
Unlike some here (You know who you are!), I don't subscribe to the 'one size fits all' doctrine as it applies to audio equipment and/or systems.
To each his or her own, sez I.
First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass
