RE: Whatever happened to MQA?

Thanks for the link! Very opportune.

I think perhaps my favorite post was the one by Mat Weisfeld, which is perhaps why you posted it last. To be accurate, he was actually talking about "MCA" rather than "MQA."

Still, I fret that "MQA" could more realistically be "Money Quest Audio."

That is, it offers a disputable increase in audio benefits while requiring an indisputable expense in cash outlays to once again upgrade our audio libraries.

Until I see a universally accepted upgrade in signal quality, I think money could be better spent on transducers: either microphones in combination with the recording environment, or loudspeakers in combination with the listening room.
