Have you tried bypassing the spdif converter and going straight from the urendu to your dac?
Short answer is that I cannot.
While the DAC8 offers USB 2.0 functionality, it requires using their drivers via computer playback. On the other hand, with my previous arrangement using a DAC7 and Touch, I found that USB connectivity offered no perceivable benefit over S/PDIF via BNC.
