Geek Out opinions?

I just received the GeekOut DAC I pre-ordered in January. I am interested in the opinions of others who have this DAC. I mainly lurk at the Vintage Asylum, and am fairly new to digital music. I do have a MacBook Pro, an iPhone 5s, and several iPods. Until now all of my ripped music is in the AAC format. After getting my GeekOut I ripped a few CDs into the AIFF lossless format. I don't have any higher resolution formats but would like to download some and try them out.

I am willing to pay for an iTunes extension program that would allow me to play hi-rez downloads, perhaps up to $100 for such a program.

So please chime in with your opinions on the GeekOut and advice on how to listen to hi-rez music using iTunes to organize and play such file.
