On sale at USA Best Buy stores through Saturday the 15th of March for $130, and a real sonic bargain IMO: I've previously owned the following mini sound systems (Bluetooth and otherwise) and would say that the A33 pleases these ears better!
Geneva Sound Model S (original model)
Cue Audio R1 + S1
Bose SoundLink II
Bose Soundlink Mini
Soundmatters FoxL
JBL Charge
Sonos Play 3
Tivoli Audio Model One
Ken Rockwell's A33 review is here. Rockwell does a good job of summarizing it, but I would add the following:
AC brick is fairly bulky and the prongs don't fold for easier storage. Looks to be an ordinary 12V 2A switching power supply rated for 100-240V, 50/60 Hz.
Other BT speakers I've tried were fair-to-poor in the S/N Ratio department, but the TDK is pleasingly quiet.
Battery pack is user-replaceable and looks to be ordinary solder tab NiMH cells with a bit of shrink-wrap around them.
It doesn't seem to be too choosy with regards to placement or listening sweet spot: Place it wherever it's handy, and chances are, it'll sound great.
