There are no unbiased experts.

Some of these manufacturers make significant contributions to the forums and would be missed if they were banned as a class.

As to bias, there is no such thing as an "unbiased expert". Regardless of commercial motivation, or lack thereof, attaining a level of expertise in any field requires devoting a substantial amount of one's time and possibly other resources. Human nature being what it is, it is just about impossible for this to happen without some bias adhering. If there are 10 experts on any subject, there will be at least 11 opinions and the "truth will out".
