RE: Migrating from Windows to itunes/pure vinyl

You need to understand that iTunes keeps it's own database of your music info in an html file of it's on structure. Within that database is the file location. It is completely separate from the music files themselves.

Actual file structure is not changed if you uncheck the settings mentioned previously. If you don't do that step, iTunes will rearrange your files.

You can show filename in iTunes and arrange into one long list if you have no metadata. However I don't think the remote app for the ipad will show the filename field and so I don't know what will happen with that.

You should google this subject, there is a ton of clear info out there on how to handle files in iTunes.
