RE: Computer Hard Drive/Music Server back to CD player?

I actually have come that full circle for financial reasons. I sold my high end USB DAC and burned much of my music to CD. My problem has been trying to find a CD player that is less expensive that the DAC I had($1000+) that sounds as good as the DAC did. No luck so far. I have tried a couple of players that I has thought sounded better at first, but soon realized that they were lacking in a way that the DAC/PC was not. I always secretly suspected that a "real" CD player would sound better then a DAC, but being forced to live with a CD player is showing me that the 30 year old technology is indeed obsolete.
