Holographic memory has been talked about since around 1989. At the time it had the potential to be faster and hold more capacity than they thought hard disks were capable of. Back then there was excitment about holding an entire encyclopedia's data on something the size of a penny. Today we have usb flash drives that can almost do as good!It should be much faster than a hard drive, and it's been built to have archival storage quality, which hard drives don't.
If it's priced competitively, it wil take the market by storm.
