Re: Usb-audio driver for usb spdif

I tried it briefly, and found that the sound became more spacious and transparent, with more ambient cues coming through. Unfortunately, the irritating 30 second beep put me off a longer audition. As a result, I uninstalled the driver and reverted to using asio4all. The sound using asio4all is not bad as well, just not as good. I guess the cost of the driver is not that much in the normal audiophile context. You could spend just as much or even more for less improvement in the sound.

I'm still contemplating a purchase though. It would be nice if I could access the control panel from foobar though. As it stands, I have to tweak the latency and buffer from the asio4all control panel. The usb-audio driver apparently shows up there.
