If you want to reuse the media centre remote, try something called Hip (www.byremote.com.au) - it's free.If you want to be more sophisticated, try something called girder (www.promixis.com) which you have to pay for.
There's also imon (www.soundgraph.com) - it doesn't have native support for foobar, but you can easily reconfigure the keys.
