Re: What are you using for more than 500GBs storage?

Hi there.

I am using a 500GB WD-Netcenter. It's a standalone unit not bigger
than a book and comes with its own OS. It can be placed anywhere in the network.

Though the (my) ethernet capacity of 100Mbit can not really be called "data freeway". (Looking forward to affordable 1GB or 10GB lan-solutions in the near furture)
As a storage it is perfect. I don't need an extra PC and can access it easily from all my audio- and other clients in the house without moving an external HD around.

It is scalable. I just add another one to the network or can even attach USB-HDD to it to extent its capacity!

It runs under Windows and Linux.

Cheers
KLS
