Shaun, please consider the following:1. Itunes does not have ASIO output. It is irrelevant if you will use Windows Vista but if you use W2K or WXP, lack of ASIO is detrimental to best possible sound. In that case consider Foobar or JRIVER MC12 instead.
2. In my experience best vinyl transcription is done outside of PC chain. Use pro CD recorder (HHB830 is the best) Hard drive recorder Alesys Masterlink 9600 or DVD recorder TASCAM 1000. Once you have digital copy on disk, you may rip it to PC for further shaping up if needed.
