a) Waveout - no, I use ASIOb) Direct Sound - am trying this with ASIO to see if it sounds different or stops ticks. So far not noticing any difference.
c) Kernel Streaming - never use it
d) ASIO - always use it, and a particular one for Foobar 0.8.3 that sounds best to me.
g) Depends on the USB DACs drivers - Yes, whether you can actually use ASIO depends on the device driver.
