I have 24/96 working on my Crimson using the TI TAS1020B

Bob,

But the fact is that it will be awhile before I can really flush out the best 24 bit dac and how to use it. On the MAC this works without any drivers being required. On the PC I will proabably write Vista drivers and not anything before that.

It seems that most of the 24 bit dacs I have tried when feed with 16 bit data seem to suck compared to the 16 bit USB Dac's I have tried.

I do use the TAS1020B in the Crimson and each dac is a seperate module therefore it is user upgradable.

Another problem is that the software on the computer side is not really up too the task yet. But I am sure this is only time. Also one of the nice features of Computer Audio is that the software keeps getting better.

Thanks
Gordon
