Thanks David for your reply. I hadn’t really confused compressors with compression per se, but I am getting confused. Is 128k is CD quality and 1411k wav quality? And neither is mp3 or other compression scheme, is that a better way for me to think about it and understand.

I do also listen to many flac and shn files that I’ve downloaded. I’ve had quite an obsession with live shows for several years and it is probably helped me in my relentlessness for quality audio. These are lossless wav files basically if I’m not mistaken.

Thanks again for the info and the tip on radioio, I’ll give their free trail a whirl.
