Since clicks and pops are usually a clock synch issue, I don't understand how there would be a difference with software, but it somewhat seems to do so. However, that is not a definitive answer. Actually, to do the testing necessary to determine that with any real scientific accuracy is beyond my willingness to do that level of serious testing _grin_Thanks for the link.
I was using "normal" and will give it a shot with SSE 2. I'm using a Northwood CPU
