How do I know if I have burnt a wav to a wav?

When I look at the disk each file says 1 KB. When I look at properties for each file or the disk, it doesn't say wav file or mp3 and it gives no size that makes sense. I am using deep burner. I can't figure out how to get EAC to Burn. It does copy, but I am challenged in this department.
I also tried to burn wav files as data files. Now the properties displays the right size, but NO SOUND. That didn't work.
Am I burning MP3 or WAV files from my Wav files? I want Wav files.
