I tried this yesterday... after struggling to get Winamp to play nicely with cue files that is (grrr).I found Winamp with kernel streaming to be a bit smoother sounding (less harsh) and less forward sounding than Foobar with kernel streaming. The differences were particularly noticable with full range symphonic recordings as well as recordings of steel string acoustic guitars.
