Re: PC vs MAC for Audio?

Dmac,

I agree with Danny and here are a few reason's why.

About 90% of all recording studio's use MAC's instead of PC's. They are easy to use, results are consistent, no viruses. The biggest reason is no KMIXER.

Presently FLAC is not really supported though the word on the streets is that it will be soon as some of the recording companies have asked for iTunes support of it.

Yes you can use Windows XP on a MAC either with BootCamp or Parallels. I have not really tried Parallels with USB DAC's as of yet, though I do have it loaded and working. Do understand that the KMIXER would be added to the problems here because of it being imbedded in XP.

Anyway... I have both and in all cases would rather use MAC than a PC and I use to design PC's for a living.

Thanks
