Seriously, try the following:1. Check IBM/Lenovo's website for an updated firmware for your CD-RW drive. It could be that the firmware doesn't recognize the CD-R media, which is a common problem.
2. Try another CD burning app. At work I use CDBurnerXP Pro, which is free, easy to use, and not bloated like most other burner software.
3. Try using a different brand of CD-R media. I usually use Fuji or TDK with good results. Look for media made in Japan, which is usually of higher quality (the CD-R's themselves will be stamped with "Made in Japan" on them)
