If I understand what you're saying - you don't need two and six in the same breakout.

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly

But the two digital out/in AES/EBU connectors are not on the same port of the card as the analog outs.

To my way of thinking you would need a set of two, and a set of 6 - that should widen your options a good bit.

For my digital out to the BSS xover, I'm just using neutrik plastic male/female and cat 5 - using a twisted pair for 1,2,3 leaving a pair unused.

Working great for the digital, anyhow.

A buddy of mine that is the engineer for several radio stations told me they do AES/EBU digital runs of several hundred feet with cat 5 and no problems.

I had plenty of CAT5E on hand, and some unused xlr connectors so I thought, why not? Sounds great to me _grin_
