with a 1.4 Ghz AMD Athlon and 576MB RAM.AS i type this i am re sampling a .WAV file from red book to 96/24 with Sound forge,Playing a .WAV audio file in media player 10,decoding a FLAC file to .WAV,have two Instant messenger programs running and Virus protection.The WAV file didn't skip once,played fine right thru but Windows was very slow in responding . It appears to give priority to the media player and other programs before Explorer which is the way i have it set .
