Hi there,from what I've read in reviews, it is middle of the pack in noise floor compare to expensive options but when you factor the price it is great. Don't think there are op amps in there. Remember it takes the analog output from your tuner or phono preamp RCA plugs and converts to USB stream into your PC's usb port. It produces a WAV file that you can edit. Don't need op amps to produce a USB stream.
It has 2 transformers to break any ground loops from your stereo or home theatre to your PC.There 2 versions out there, a regular and a deluxe. I think the deluxe is just better or more software in the box.
