Agree. Ripping a cd is a completely different process than playing it.

Try the following:

1. Make sure your EAC read/write offset correction (and all other configuration) is right.
2. Use EAC to rip a CD as single (uncompressed!) .wav image and remember the checksum EAC is giving you.
3. Use EAC (offset correction!) to burn the .wav as audio cd.
4. Repeat step 2 but with the copy you just made and compare the checksum.

You can loop forever and always get the same checksum which means you get EXACT duplicates. It even works if you shake your cd drive or put it on top of a heavily vibrating harddisk.
