ASIO4ALL does not use ASIO to interface with the sound card hardware. It is designed for sound cards that do not support ASIO, and instead ASIO4ALL uses Windows Kernel Streaming to send the sound to the card. This is a less direct path to sending the sound to your card.The Creative ASIO driver bypasses Windows, and talks directly to the sound card hardware. Many people feel that with certain playback software and revealing audio equipment this sounds better.
