One of the options is to create a standalone PC that runs of a USB memory stick. You would insert this in between the output from your source and the DAC.There are also solutions for most players. You can build aompletely free solutuion as well. This site is providing a sophisticated way to create the inverse filters but there are also free options for that.
Even this solution is a coupel of grand less than a Tact. The old Tacts are not particulalry good either and they all use asynchronous resampling.
