I have a new MacBook & two, one year old Mac Minis ... all have FireWire 1394 ports, all have USB 2.0 port, all have Apple LossLess optical audio ports ... plus all are able to connect to DVI video monitors & TVs (with Apple adapters) and all run faster than last years under US$600 PCs. (All can also run Windows, but I have not found a good reason to do so.):D
