I am facing some increased travel for work, and got the 30GB X5L with the bigger battery. Got some Ety 4P's for the plane. Very pleased. I got it since I'm mostly a Unix guy and the straight USB interface and Flac/Ogg support work well in that context.Very pleased for the most part. Not going to replace normal listening overall, but for the plane and sitting in the hotel room it's great. I'm very very impressed by the quality of Q9 Ogg/Vorbis (somewhere around 280-320kbps). It almost triples the capacity over Flac, and I seriously doubt anyone can tell the difference on a portable.
Longevity is a bit of a question on these from what I understand - the joystick is prone to breaking. We'll see how it holds up.
