Don't take it the wrong way :) I see this as a positive step in music reproduction using Windows. I am at heart a Linux guy myself, I have three Squeezeboxes connected to a Linux based slimserver. Consider me schooled in this area.

Here's a summary of my multi-platform experience:

MacOSX - (decent)
Linux ALSA Sound - (good)
Windows Vista - (excellent)

It's purely subjective (ie. My own ears), but take it from me I have 9 computers all running variants of MacOSX, Linux and Windows and do nothing but audio. I am impressed, it's not a commercial.
