Not entirely evil

According to the article, the DRM wrapping only occurs on wirelessly copied songs and it doesn't sound like it effects the original. You can always copy the song yourself and avoid this process altogether. I'm not sure what Microsoft intends to accomplish with this, but it doesn't seem inherently evil. It's not nearly as bad, for instance, as Sony's installation of a rootkit virus ;-). Anyway, the scheme doesn't prevent copying music per se, just using the very convenient wireless link from doing so. A strange practice and one that's sure to be unpopular, but far from evil.
