Re: I have a Plextor in one of my computers

What I think might be going on is the re-sellers are taking the CDs from the equipment and selling them as OEM disks. I've seen this practice before. The way they get around it is to advertise the drive with software, but if you read the fine print it will say Roxio CD creator.

According to the Plextor site, all Plextor drives comes with Plextools Professional, and they'll sell you Plextools Professional XL for extra bucks. Since my drive (PX-230A) doesn't support all the bells and whistles of the XL, which I wasn't interested in anyway, I wanted the Pro version. The catch is that they don't sell it, so I emailed Plextor sales, and they sent an email with the link to the missing software page.
