Plextor PX-760A

Buying the Plextor PX-760A AND then buying Plextools Professional XL off their site (Plextools came with the drive but not the XL version that lets you make .cue files for the .wav) was the smartest thing I've done. EAC is good and i used it too, but Plextools XL ripped discs that EAC couldn't and i found i trusted it more at higher speeds (16X to 20X, lower speeds are not neccessary; plextools reports errors well). You're doing almost twice as many discs as i did. I would recommend doing single .wav files (whole cd as one .wav file) and a .cue file; harddrive space is cheap enough not to mess with compression and i still think .flac files take more processor to unravel (read sonic degradation; hey everything else in this bizz seems to affect quality of sound). For my foobar playlist I have it scan just my .cue files and i can then pull up individual songs from "Album List" to make my playlists.
