There were some guys in Australia I think that tried to get all the possible combinations of phone numbers copyrighted.The idea is that these were their "songs" and that everytime you or I dialed, we were playing their songs, and of course needed to pay them a royality.
They were trying to make a point about how stupid the whole copyright thing has gotten these days.
