Hi. I'm posting this here since this tube is common in OTLs. I'm using a 6AS7 in a voltage regulator circuit. I only have a 5volt secondary that'll source the current and this actually works. The 5volt sec is obviously for a rectifier tube, which I am not using in this circuit. My only concern is if this will severly lower the 6AS7s lifespan? The tube seems to have adequite conductance at 5volts on the heaters for this regulator job, but am I ruining the tube because of too low heater voltage?
