Safer to go for ceramic !

Hi.

The tube body of 6C33C is rated up to 300C, & can get higher is
ventilation is not adequate.

Ceramic is the best bet with silver plated pin contacts. But, many ceramic sockets fail due to the exposed metal pin spring contacts can't survive long term heating from the tube cylinder.

I have seen a British made with teflon moulded socket with silver plated pins contacts totally embeded inside the socket body. It is said the pin contacts will survive longer heated up much longer than the exposed pin contact structures as seen in many those ceramic sockets.

Of course, that British made costs a lot more to buy. It is also medium brown colour.
